If so, then you've noticed how difficult it is to gain a solid foundation in programming and feel comfortable tackling more than a "Hello World" problem. Let's face it, online tutorials provide pockets of information and not the full picture.
My name is Joel Kemp and I can give you the foundation to become a competent programmer!
I have been an Adjunct Lecturer at various colleges within the City University of New York (CUNY) since Fall 2008 and NYU since Spring 2012. I have taught Computer Science courses to undergraduate students of many different academic backgrounds.

Services
- Private Online Lessons: A one-on-one learning experience paced to your needs – offering undivided attention to your progress as a programmer.
- Group Online Lessons: Small-group online conferencing with flexible scheduling (nights and weekends) to accommodate your busy schedules. Group sessions are also open to individuals outside of the New York area!
- Custom Lessons: If you have particular programming languages or topics that you would like clarified, then 1-hour or 2-hour tutoring sessions can be arranged.
Why Get a Private Instructor?
New York is a growing technology-hub, second to that of Silicon Valley, prompting many people to enroll in Computer Science programs across the state. However, not everyone has the time or money to dedicate to an entire semester of classes. In addition, university courses are at a set pace: not adapting to the skills and capabilities of the enrolled students.
I can offer you a more personalized learning experience. My 2-hour classes are crafted to empower you with the knowledge and skills to become a successful programmer. There are several packages offered, with more to be added in the near future.
